Shabbat in the Hospital

This money goes toward supporting a special All Things Chessed event in New York City where approximately 150 volunteers came together to create Shabbat care packages for patients and families spending Shabbat in the hospital. Volunteers helped prepare meaningful packages filled with challah, grape juice, Shabbat items, small comforts, and stuffed teddy bears for children. The goal was to bring warmth, familiarity, and a little joy into hospital rooms during a time that can otherwise feel especially isolating. Beyond the items themselves, the event gave volunteers the opportunity to personally take part in creating something that would help patients and families feel remembered and cared for before Shabbat.
